Here's the following steps that will help you to clean you water feature:

Use White Vinegar to Remove Algae: White vinegar can quickly kill algae but is not harmful to plants, birds, and insects. Use water and vinegar to spray down the area and scrub with a toothbrush. Leave as much algae as possible to prevent it from growing back.

Install a Higher Quality Pump: It is essential for a clean and sanitary fountain, as it prevents algae and bacteria from spreading and tainting the water.

Change Fountain Water Once Per Month: Use distilled or chlorinated drinking water. Rinse with a garden hose and towels before refilling.
