Every winter we all wait to make Sarson ka Saag. The Punjabi Sarson ka Saag is a recipe that many want to try and replicate at home. So I have shared with you the authentic Punjabi Sarson ka Saag recipe today.
This Sarson ka saag recipe is a family recipe that I have learned from my Mother in Law.
The Sarson ka saag is made not just with one saag but 3 different types of leaves or saag- Mustard leaves, Spinach leaves and Mathi Leaves.
The Sarson ka saag is also blended in a mixer jar but does not make a fine paste .still has a smooth texture thanks to a special ingredient added to it. It is the Wheat /corn meal or Gandum/make ka atta that is cooked into the saag that gives it the smooth texture.
Finally, the saag is finished with a tempering of garlic, onions, and whole red chilies.
