With a background from NUST (SADA) and years of hands-on design and site experience, Atta brings depth, fairness, and unwavering dedication to every project. His leadership reflects the studio’s values: thoughtful design, honest communication, and work that quietly endures. He is driven by the belief that good design must always be honest, to the context, to the material, and to the people.

RSI wouldn’t be what it is without Sheheryar Khan; co-founder, architect, and the studio’s material conscience.
With a background in architecture and a practice shaped by both sensitivity and persistence, Sheheryar moves fluidly between the drawing board and the construction site. Sketches and site visits are both part of the same thoughtful process, one rooted in curiosity, integrity, and care. He believes in staying honest, trusting the journey, and working through the hard parts until the right solution takes shape.
Before co-founding RSI, Sheheryar spent four years at DB Studio, where he refined his approach to detail, craft, and advancing ideas.

NS House was shaped by sunlight and centered around a courtyard.
Designed for a family of five, the layout separates public and private zones while keeping nature at the heart.
Light-filled, private, and thoughtfully connected, every space is oriented to feel open yet grounded.

Tucked into the northern landscapes of Shigar, Dastaan Shigar is a small hotel that blends traditional craft with contemporary architecture.

Designed with 8 rooms and a 40-seat restaurant, the project uses local materials like mud plaster and stone walls to stay true to its context. A central courtyard and southern orientation fill the interiors with warmth and light, both functional and atmospheric.
It’s a quiet celebration of culture and sustainable design.

Burewala farmhouse in South Punjab centers around a courtyard, with high ceilings, deep walls, and filtered light creating naturally cool, comfortable interiors.

Materiality is grounded and local, built for both gathering and retreat.

This façade uplift and spatial intervention aimed to transform an existing mosque into a more inclusive, accessible, and community-centered space.
Our redesign introduced a women’s prayer hall, upgraded wuzu area, staff lodges, and a community dining (dastarkhwan) and gathering hall , expanding the mosque’s role beyond prayer to a true civic hub. Retail shops were integrated to support long-term revenue for maintenance and operations.

Architecturally, the new façade speaks to unity. Clustered vertical columns represent people standing together in prayer, with the tallest forming the minar, anchoring the design in tradition. The incorporation of Kufic Islamic script within the column detailing adds a subtle yet powerful spiritual layer to the modern form.

Built into the hillside of Murree, this apartment building embraces the site’s natural contours.
Oriented to capture light and views, the design balances privacy, climate, and context, all while nodding to local architectural language.

Fixed Facade Designs for DHA 5 Islamabad. Twelve unique versions of one plaza, each shaped by its site and the slight plot variations that we had to cater for each block.
Built with basalt, softened by planters, and designed to grow with time.
