Exploring Structural Elegance✨
This scale model represents a high-rise tower with an outrigger and belt truss system—a structural innovation that enhances stability against lateral forces such as wind and earthquakes.
The central core acts as the primary load-bearing spine, while the outer truss frames connect through outrigger arms to distribute forces evenly across the structure. This combination of engineering precision and architectural expression ensures both strength and slenderness, allowing tall buildings to rise higher without compromising safety.
Built with balsa wood and bamboo sticks, the model demonstrates how form and function merge—turning technical systems into an aesthetic statement.

Where design meets detail - a high-rise structural model inspired by Hangzhou,China.
Inspired by a skyscraper in Hangzhou,China built as part of my structure course, this structural model explores the outrigger system, known for giving tall buildings their strength and grace.
What makes it unique? A custom screw mechanism that allows the model to be assembled and disassembled, just like real structural joints - beautifully revealed in this video.
A blend of precision, concept, and craft - all scaled to perfection.
