Three weeks ago this office was four bare walls and a folding table. Here’s what changed.
We started with the shell — textured wall panels to break up the flat drywall, then a custom mural on the feature wall that sets the whole palette for the room. Motorized blinds went in next, designed to match the panel grid so the windows read as part of the wall, not an add-on.
The floor got ripped out and replaced with engineered wood — warmer underfoot than the old tile, and it grounds the whole space.
Then the details: a media wall built around the client’s TV and sound setup, framed prints hung at working-eye-level (not gallery height — this is a desk, not a museum), a sofa for the reading corner, a low table between the chairs, and layered lighting — ambient overhead, a floor lamp by the sofa, task lighting at the desk — so the room doesn’t rely on one harsh ceiling fixture.
Same footprint. Completely different place to work.
