ABANDONEDCITY - When the City of Porto Starts to Shrink - is a photo essay that proposes a tour on the traditional centre of Oporto putting foward the present moment of economical and urban contraction where it explores the Shrinkage characteristics.
It adresses issues related to the Shinking Cities phenomenon, in particular the morpho-typological characteristics of the city, explores the main causes for the appearance of the phenomenons, its socio-political effects and its planned or spontaneous reactions to this situation.
