We are super-running late this round due to late permissions granted by our clients to use the 3D visuals we created for them. As usual.. 🤣🤣..

Now we have a good problem..

The team couldn’t decide which cover design to use.. 😳😳

I guess it’s best to seek you guys’ opinions on this..

Culprits :
1 x crazy 3D modeler
1 x perfectionist 3D artist &
1 x Demanding Project Manager (that’s ME 🤣🤣)

Damages:
Many 20hrs work days
Countless Panic Attacks
Severe Shortage of Coffee

Rewards:
A good 3 days break from works..
&
Most importantly,
A very satisfied client.

Back to Back job for , Singapore Top Architectural Firm. This round, it is an integrated Mixed Used Development at Sengkang Central, North East Part of Singapore.

Largest for the past 3 years, 3.2 HA land sited at the prime Buangkok MRT. The last mixed-zone development in Sengkang Township.

Some key components:
1. Civil Centre
2. Bus Interchange
3. Community Club
4. Hawker Centre
5. Commercial Space
6. Civil Plaza
7. Private Residential Condo Development

7 full days, involving seven 3D artists and 2 project managers, working non-stop to meet our client’s demanding expectations..

15 images in 10 working days is no easy feat..
Working round the clock with Singapore's Top Architectural Firm, RSP is no joke..

No effort is spared from creating the exact design intentions.

Totally Shagged out.. 😔😔

Just completed an intensive 3 hrs Focus Group Discussion(FGD) with ITE Curriculum Planning Division.

I’m invited together with the industry players to participate in a DACUM to create the Competency Profile for their new courses, namely:

1. New Higher Nitec In Visual Effects
2. New Higher Nitec Motion Graphics

Sound alien to you guys??

Visual Effects are those in Special effects we see in movies like Lord of the rings., etc.. it’s the more technical driven of the two courses.

Usually more skill-intensive and longer production period.

Where as

Motion graphics are movie/variety show title opening, advertisement animation, etc..

Motion Graphics artists are Super in-demand.. Need high level of creativity/artistic sense...

My Takeaway:

Wonderful session with the industry players from different fields such advertising agencies, animation studios, production houses and me, 3D visualization specializing in architecture & real estate marketing..

A pity that we are not allowed to take photos of our discussion process..😔😔

Seriously, I know little on many of the stuffs discussed, like rotoscoping, 3D rigging or even motion tracking.. Too technical for me.. 😁😁

In , we specialized in creating 3D & for our clients.. In our field, we required more knowledge than technical skills..

- 3D modeler artists need architectural/interior design background
- Post-production artists need to be visual communications trained/proficiently in various software applications..

We are in such niche.. we prefer to hone our expertise, offering our services to various fields.

If necessary, we rely on our trusted partners to collaborate on bigger projects.. 🙏🙏

I’m looking forward to see these two courses launching soon because there is a good demand for these visual artists. Currently, We rely a lot on FTs and even overseas partners..

Looking forward to contribute more to the 2nd stage of the course development.. 👍👍

Good Morning,
Dawson!!!

Located at the Queenstown, Singapore’s 1st satellite town, @ Dawson is Commissioned by the HDB as an exploration of the future of affordable public housing( at $600k per unit.. not exactly affordable..😂😂)

Designed by our SG Celebrity Architectural Firm(at least to me), WOHA, this awesome design consists of 960 homes, focuses on 3 themes – community, variety and sustainability.

Though the final development is abit different from the initial concept(probably due to cost cutting, what else..😅😅), the end product is obviously outstanding.. certainly took public housing to the next high level..

Many of my overseas ex-colleagues were amused by our public housing quality.. In this case, can be even better than private housing.. kudos to the HDB, ya..

Was rushing out to attend a focus-group today, else will spend more time exploring the uniqueness of this beauty..
