Within this exclusive UAE island resort concept, amenities are not treated as additional. But rather, they are embedded within the architecture itself.
The concept explores how programme can be layered into the spatial narrative rather than expressed as standalone elements. Private clubs, wellness spaces, and leisure environments are integrated into the mass, often concealed or revealed gradually through movement.
The subterranean level becomes a key part of this strategy. Entertainment spaces, theatres, wellness areas, and immersive environments are positioned within a more fluid architectural condition. This creates a sense of discovery, where spaces are experienced sequentially rather than all at once.
Above ground, the amenities extend toward the waterfront. Retail, dining, marina experiences, and beach access introduce a more open and active layer, contrasting with the inward-focused nature of the citadel core.
The project also considers how exclusivity is expressed spatially. Private members’ environments such as the Gentlemen’s Club and Ladies Club are defined through distinct architectural identities, each responding to different atmospheres, materials, and user experiences.
As a conceptual study, the project proposes an alternative approach to luxury amenities. One that prioritises integration and discretion over visibility and scale.
