Inspired by Ader Error and their love for textures, c.menthaus' $85K 4-room BTO reno leans into a warmer, more tactile side of brutalism, where raw textured finishes take centre stage throughout the home.
To create a calm, cosy, and inviting home, the textured finishes were balanced out using biophilic details and warm accents to give a softer look overall. As avid hosts, they also reworked the home layout by hacking down a room to create a raised platform that also doubles as a casual hosting zone, perfect for guests to gather and unwind!
This same raw, cocooning feel carries into the master bedroom, where cement screed walls give the space a cave-like quality. Even the master bathroom follows through with a textured plaster wall, tying the private spaces back to the homeβs overall tactile, brutalist-inspired concept.
