Villa Project | Limassol, Cyprus
Designed on a 1,500 sqm plot in Limassol, this private villa is shaped by the land, climate, and Mediterranean way of life. The project follows a contemporary architectural language grounded in sustainability, environmental responsibility, and ecological design, while remaining deeply connected to local Cypriot heritage.
The site is organized into three natural levels, allowing the architecture to integrate seamlessly with the existing topography rather than dominate it. The upper level hosts the villa and swimming pool, offering privacy and open views, while the middle level forms a green corridor that acts as a natural microclimate buffer. The lower level is dedicated to agricultural use and planting, reinforcing a long-term relationship with the land.
With a total built area of 260 sqm, the villa prioritizes passive design strategies, natural ventilation, daylight optimization, and a strong indoor–outdoor connection suited to the Cypriot climate. Material choices—white plaster, local stone, large glass openings, and lightweight pergola elements—are selected for durability, thermal performance, and environmental efficiency.
The landscape design is conceived as an extension of the architecture, guided by ecological principles, low-water strategies, and the use of native Cypriot planting. Stepped landscaping minimizes excavation, supports natural water infiltration, and reduces irrigation demands, ensuring long-term sustainability.
This project represents a contemporary interpretation of Cypriot living—where architecture, landscape, and ecology coexist in balance, creating a timeless home rooted in place and environmental awareness.
