New arrivals! Our new "Vintage Hmong" Collection is now available in the webshop and Chiang Mai shop.

This special, limited cushion collection is made from vintage Hmong skirt textiles in cotton and h**p. The intricate wax resist patterns have been created on the cotton fabric while the cross-stitch needlework is embroidered onto the h**p. Natural indigo dyes have been used for both fabrics. There are only nine pieces available and they make a unique addition to any sofa, armchair or bed. Insert included.

New year, new projects! We are working on a new series of one of a kind wall hangings. Using the "Lao Naga" pattern as a base, these new wall hangings play with fun colours, texture and size. Some are already available in the web-shop and Chiang Mai shop, with further additions expected later in January and February.

細かい手仕事のカレンブラウス（カレン族既婚女性の伝統的な民族衣装）は、現在入手がとても困難となりました。そんなブラウスを数年かけて収集し、3種類の小物に仕立て上げました。

柄を活かした布の取り方を考え抜き、色合わせで布の可愛さを引き立てる工夫を凝らしました。ポーチの裏側には本革を使用しており、可愛らしさの中にも高級感のある仕上がりです。

カレンブラウスの魅力は、鮮やかな色柄の可愛らしさと手織りの布の質感、そして最も特徴的な草の実の刺繍

Introducing our new "Colour Gradation" Collection!

This textile is a re-working of a 30-year old textile originally designed by one of our weavers. It features a rich gradation of colours from navy, red, beige and cream. The collection includes cotton and silk shawls, cotton cushion covers and handbags.

This new collection is now available in our web-shop and the Chiang Mai shop.

During January and February we have spent time at our weaving center in Omkoi, working on new scarves and other textiles. A lot of preparation work goes into the process before weaving can begin, such as hand-dyeing threads, winding yarns onto spools and bobbins and then setting up the looms. These two looms are for silk scarves and our "blanket" fabric, which is inspired by traditional Karen blankets in rustic cotton. New products coming soon!

Visiting our weaving center and some of the more far-flung Karen villages in Sop Moei District always offers up the most spectacular mountain views, especially after the rainy season. Lots of beautiful baskets coming along and textiles too.
