Mahalle, yalnızca yan yana gelmiş yapılardan ibaret değildir; insanı insana, mekânı hayata bağlayan en kadim örgütlenme biçimidir.
Biz bu projede, mahalle kavramını yeniden ele alarak, günümüzün bireyselleşmiş yaşam biçimlerine alternatif bir “ortaklık” fikri geliştirmeye çalıştık.
Mimarlık yalnızca bina yapmak değil; yaşama biçimini kurmaktır.
Burada sınırların ortadan kalktığı, şeffaf cephelerin iç-dış ilişkisini güçlendirdiği, geniş terasların kamusal alanın devamı gibi kurgulandığı, doğal taş ve ahşap gibi malzemelerin aidiyet duygusunu pekiştirdiği bir düzen tasarladık.
Modern mahalle anlayışımızda, evler bireylere; sokaklar ve meydanlar ise topluluğa ait.
Böylece mekân, yalnızca bir “yaşam alanı” değil, aynı zamanda birlikte yaşamanın yeni bir manifestosu haline geliyor.

🌐A neighborhood is not merely a cluster of buildings;
it is the most ancient form of organization,
binding people to one another and space to life itself.
In this project, we reinterpreted the very idea of the neighborhood,
seeking to create an alternative sense of togetherness
in contrast to today’s highly individualized ways of living.
Architecture is not only about constructing buildings;
it is about shaping ways of life.
Here, we designed a setting where boundaries dissolve,
transparent facades strengthen the dialogue between inside and outside,
generous terraces extend the spirit of public space,
and materials like natural stone and wood reinforce a sense of belonging.
In our vision of the modern neighborhood,
homes belong to individuals,
while streets and squares belong to the community.
Thus, space becomes not just a “place to live,”
but a new manifesto of living together.
