Are you tired of those old styrofoam containers that you get from your local nursery? They are easy to break and end up as waste. Our Thyme plants are in small plastic white pots that are far more durable as well as reusable and they’re the perfect size for the kitchen. 🍶
Thyme is an herb whose small leaves grow on clusters of thin stems. Thyme is used to season all kinds of dishes, either by itself or as part of a blend or bouquet garni alongside other common herbs like rosemary, sage, and marjoram .Originally from the Mediterranean area, this herb is drought-friendly so it doesn’t have high watering needs. It is also pollinator-friendly! Let some thyme plants flower, since the herb attracts the bees. 💧🐝
Harvest thyme just before the plant flowers by cutting off the top five to six inches of growth. Thyme adds a gentle flavor to just about anything, especially eggs, tomatoes, meats, soups, beans, and potatoes. It’s taste has been described as a bit earthy with lemony and minty tones. 🥩🌿
Thyme is safe for dogs. Dogs can consume moderate amounts of thyme without any issue. Infact thyme has an active compound, Thymol, which has potent antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Using thyme oil on your dog’s skin can also help eliminate bacterial and fungal infection of the skin. ✔️🐕🦺🦮
