Received a call from a new client to replace a 40 year old sliding glass door. Really was not a slider anymore cause you could not open it. Ordered a nice Pella sliding glass door. Took 8 weeks to get the door. On delivery day I arrived early to prep for the new door. The door arrived early and so did my helper. Upon removing the old door major termite damage was found. This needed to be repaired before anything else could be done. This turned into a 12 hour day, but we did get the new door installed before we left. Home owner very happy that we were able to repair the damage and get the door installed the same day. Just things you find when doing the work I do. You just need to make things right. This was something that could not be left un-repaired.

Today we replaced a rotting porch post that holding the roof over the porch. We were lucky to find a matching post to the existing one. As there are 3 wooden posts on this house. We replaced some water damaged facia on the porch as well. We have some pretty big house jacks to support the existing roof and ceiling while we replaced the post. You can see the rot on the old porch post. The person that installed the original column never bothered to prime the bottom.
