Just adding a little sunshine to your day ☀️

I tried something new and baked my very first loaf of sourdough this morning. (After a couple of weeks of nursing a starter)

Let me tell you… this new skill tested my patience, my endurance, and possibly my sanity. 😂 But I’m too stubborn to quit once I decide I’m going to learn something.

She may not be perfect, but she rose, she baked, and she is mine.

First loaf down. So much more to learn.

Asked her how she’s doing. She said mind your business. Meet Winifred and her opinions. 🤣

Some of you have followed Rustic Graffiti from the beginning.

What started as a creative outlet for design, home décor, and beautiful spaces slowly became something more.

Over time, I found myself longing for a slower pace. A life more connected to the things that matter most—family, faith, hard work, fresh air, animals, growing things, and creating a home that feels rooted instead of rushed.

That desire led to the creation of Rustic Roots Mercantile.

What began as a natural extension of Rustic Graffiti has become a return to something deeper. A return to the land. To heritage. To simple living. To building a life with intention.

And now, Rustic Roots is evolving once again.

What started with candles, home goods, and thoughtfully sourced products is slowly becoming a farm.

The desire for chickens came first.

Then came the idea to add goats.

But we knew the addition of these family members would need a protector….

That led to the addition of this sweet boy…….

meet Hemi.

This handsome boy is the newest member of the farm and a reminder that sometimes the best things grow one small step at a time.

Rustic Roots was never meant to be just a business.

It’s becoming a lifestyle.

A place where we grow food, raise animals, teach responsibility, preserve traditions, and create something meaningful for future generations.

Every animal, every project, every lesson learned is helping shape the vision.

From Rustic Graffiti…
to Rustic Roots…
to the farm we’re building today…

Thank you for following along as this dream continues to unfold.

Welcome home, Hemi. 🤍

Before Rustic Roots was a brand, it was a kitchen....My grandmothers Kitchen

Introducing he next scent in the Heritage Collection, Sunday at Savannah's

My grandmothers kitchen was the kind that was always open, always warm, and always ready to feed one more person. Rachel Savannah, my grandmother, showed love the way so many Southern grandmamas did — through her cooking, her table, and the way she made everyone feel welcome the moment they walked through the door.

Her kitchen wasn’t fancy. It didn’t need to be.
It was filled with slow mornings, long conversations, and the kind of care you don’t rush. Sundays there felt different — steadier somehow — like the world could wait while family gathered and stories were shared.

Sunday at Savannah’s was created to honor that kind of love.

It’s warm, familiar, and comforting, with a hint of sweetness — the feeling of standing in a kitchen where generations have gathered, where food was more than food and time together was the point. It’s the reminder that the women who raised us built more than homes… they built foundations.

Rustic Roots Mercantile exists to honor Southern heritage and build a legacy that lives on long after me. This candle is part of that legacy — a way to keep those kitchens, those women, and those moments alive in our own homes.

*Sunday at Savannah’s*
Hand-poured in small batches and made to be lived and loved with.

Introducing the third scent in our Heritage collection…. Daddy’s Flannel Shirt

Before Rustic Roots was a brand, it was love.

Daddy’s Flannel Shirt is one of those scents that needed time before it was shared.

To me, it smells like safety.
Like early mornings and steady hands.
Like the quiet confidence of a man who showed love through presence, work, and faith — not loud words.

My dad has always been the example of what complete love looks like. Despite life never being easy, he moved through it with a calm strength that only comes from unshakable faith. He taught me how to work. How to stand firm. How to do the right thing even when no one is watching.

This scent is warm, familiar, and deeply comforting — soft cotton, worn flannel, and the kind of steadiness that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in the door.

Daddy’s Flannel Shirt was created to honor that kind of love.
The kind that protects.
The kind that stays.
The kind you carry with you forever.

✨ Available now in limited pours.

Pine & Christmas Morning is officially SOLD OUT.

This scent was only meant for a season, and it’s already found its place — and that just feels right.

Thank you for honoring these memories with us and welcoming them into your homes. I am truly overwhelmed by the love and support you’re giving this brand. ❤️

More stories coming tomorrow-just like this one!

Before Rustic Roots was a brand, it was memory.

This is the second scent in our Heritage Collection —
Pine and Christmas Morning.

Every year when I was growing up, we had a real Christmas tree.

One year, My dad, my brother, and I piled into the truck and headed down the gravel road across from our house — the same road that led to the fields my family farmed. We’d walked the land together, scanning the trees, debating which one was the one. Eventually, we spottd a tree we were sure was perfect.

It was NOT

By the time we got it home, set up, and stepped back… it was always the ugliest Christmas tree you’ve ever seen. Crooked. Sparse. Lopsided. Absolutely terrible.

And absolutely perfect.

Because what mattered was never how it looked — it was who I was standing next to when we chose it.

My brother is no longer with us.
And those moments — the cold air, the crunch of gravel, the smell of evergreen clinging to our coats — are sacred to me now. The kind of memories that don’t fade, only deepen. The kind that live on through scent.

That unmistakable smell of a real Christmas tree instantly takes me back. Back to laughter. Back to teasing. Back to a simpler time when all that mattered was being together, even if the tree was ugly.

Especially if the tree was ugly.

Pine and Christmas Morning was created to honor those moments — the imperfect ones that become priceless with time. It smells like fresh-cut pine, winter air, and the quiet magic of Christmas morning before the house wakes up.

It’s a reminder that the most beautiful things in life aren’t polished or perfect.
They’re real. They’re lived in. They’re shared.

✨ This scent is memory.
✨ This scent is family.
✨ This scent is love that lasts.

Available now in limited pours.

Before Rustic Roots was a brand, it was a feeling.
This is the first scent in our Heritage Collection — inspired by my roots and the stories that raised me.

“4 Mile Citrus” is named for a place that still lives in my heart.

My dad grew up along 4 Mile Creek in Drew County, deep in south Arkansas — in a small, modest home tucked into the land. The house itself is long gone now, but remnants of it remain on the farmland my dad later worked. Every time I passed that spot, I found myself wondering what life must have been like there for him… for my aunts and uncles… for children growing up with very little, yet surrounded by family, land, and love.

I often think about my grandmother — how strong she must have been to raise her children there. How much resilience it took. How much quiet courage. And how, despite the simplicity of that life, she did it lovingly. Fully. Without bitterness. She built a home not with excess, but with heart.

“4 Mile Citrus” was created to honor that kind of strength.

It’s bright and warm, like sunlight breaking through the trees along the creek. Fresh, hopeful, and grounded — a reminder that even the humblest beginnings can grow into something beautiful. That roots matter. That where we come from shapes who we become.

This scent is about legacy. About the women and men who came before us — who built lives with their hands and hearts so future generations could stand a little taller. It’s the heart of our Heritage Collection, because everything meaningful I’m building traces back to places like that.

✨ “4 Mile Citrus” is more than a candle.
It’s a thank-you.
It’s a remembering.
It’s home.

Available now in limited pours.
