Today we did our spring visit for Tacos Y Tequila in Allentown. We pruned and trimmed as needed, installed fresh black mulch and flowers. We installed annual dianthus to the rose boxes, Geraniums and sweet potato vines to the smaller pots and Spikes with wave petunias to the large flower pots as wells as some New Guinea impatients under the weeping red bud tree.

Bringing some fresh color to their outdoor patio area.

A Shade Border That Glows in Low Light

Problem: Shade borders can look dark, flat, or forgotten, especially near walls and low-light corners where bright sun plants will not perform well. The challenge is finding plants that bring color, shape, and contrast without needing direct sunlight.

Solution: This image shows a glowing shade border filled with foxglove, Japanese anemone, astilbe, bleeding heart, hosta, brunnera, heuchera, fern, and sweet woodruff. The outcome is a vibrant low-light border with pink flowers, blue-toned foliage, lime hosta leaves, fern texture, and white groundcover blooms.

Icons & details: The scroll title, glowing effect, wooden plant tags, and bright botanical illustrations make the shade garden feel magical and easy to identify.

Yesterday we cut a new client in East Allen township. We were able to fit this in to our schedule so that the realtor could have nice photos for the listing of the home as well as have the property in maintained order for an open house.

The grass was a little longer then usual so we took some extra time to cut it a few times and blow down any excess clippings.

What is something you would like your landscaper to spend some extra time on ?

Today we finished up our warranty on this wall. We relayed and leveled the base course and added rebar reinforcement to be base block. The we reinstalled the wall with rebar pins, glues all the caps and put polymeric sand between the patio and wall. Lesson learned that next time we use thia block we will use pins and reinforcement. (Not required on a wall this height but its a good idea)

We do our best to prevent any of the issues when doing the initial installation but every once in a while when things don't go right we make it right for our customers.

Today we started working on repairing thos retaining wall that we had built for a customer about 5 years ago. While we followed the standards when we built this wall it had started to lean. Being that we warranty our work we are rebuilding the wall to correct the issue of the lean and reset the wall at no cost to our customer. This was an issue somewhere in our installation.

More to come on the progress in the coming days.

Yesterday we did some work at the Social Security Building in Easton. We pulled some weeds, raked back some red stone where it had pushed back over the winter, removed 3 Barberry bushes, cleaned up some leaves, cut back some ivy from the curb line, and installed fresh mulch to an existing bed. We also sprayed any smaller weeds and picked up garbage throughout the property. A little sprucing up for the spring season.

What needs sprucing up on your property?
