While I am not a big fan of the sudden swings in temperature to over 90°, Mama HoopStem is a big fan of being able to dry the laundry on the line. I appreciate the scent of line dried clothes and the afternoon shade in the garden - as well as the cost savings. Also there is something so wholesome to me about seeing the clothes on the line.

I typically only dry sheets, towels, and bulky things this way, but we shall see what the future holds!

Do you ever line dry things outside? Why or why not?

Some of the chicks got some outside time today.

They are 4 weeks old today and are getting most of their feathers in nicely. Because its so hot out they can safely be outside (under Mama HoopStem's watchful eye)

We really missed the chance to name two of them Merry and Pippin, because Gandalf is here looking annoyed in a way only Hobbits could've accomplished.

It doesnt take much to excite Mama HoopStem! And that weird laugh at the end is PURE WONDER.

We hear woodpeckers on the homestead every day but never got to see one, this brought so much joy to a dreary week.
