I drove past an old fence line this week that looked like it had been there for generations.
Most of the posts were weathered. Some leaned a little. A few had cracks running through them. But they were still doing exactly what they were built to do.
It reminded me that usefulness and perfection are not the same thing.
A lot of people spend too much time focusing on where they're cracked, worn, or not what they used to be. Meanwhile, God is still using them.
There's something encouraging about that.
