About the Owner: Shelley J. Giraldo grew up in Kenny Lake, Alaska, where she worked in greenhouses and gardens for as long as she can remember. In 2006 she moved to Anchorage to attend UAA. In the summer of 2008 a friend who was leaving town asked her if she'd like to take over a few landscaping clients: Gardens by Giraldo was born and has grown by word of mouth since then. A Hispanic female, Shelley J. Giraldo hopes to be able to provide employment opportunities to other Hispanic females, especially those coming from rural settings.
