use ive spent alot of money on tools and its a real pain in the ass when there not on hand and short of a snap-on truck its too much effort to pack everything up, if its an emergency ill do what i have to. i charge by project not by hour solely because i like to take my time and do things right (as to avoid being called stupid by any following professionals) im constantly learning new skills/techniques while mastering and practicing what i already know so if your hard on cash but have tools/building materials/metal/wood/tile ill gladly trade services for them. life is a struggle and it seems like something is always breaking that being said i do take payments on EMERGENCY SERVICES with a little down (usually enough to cover gas and lunch) in example if a water line bursts and your a bit short on money till next pay day ill come out, cut and fit new pvc or whatever it takes to at least stop the leak untill better weather or conditions allow for a full repair and we can work out a payment plan, this is for emergency services only, im not gonna come lay down counter tops for 30$ and a promise. that being said normally i charge price of materials up front and then the rest of agreed price upon completion, i always save copies of receipts for the customer
