This is what a full-service property day looks like for the T&B team:

Morning: Sprinkler startup inspection on a North Andover property

Midday: Mulch installation and bed edging across two Andover homes

Afternoon: Site prep for a new patio project starting next week

One crew. One company. Year-round.

This is what it means to have a single team that handles everything from irrigation to hardscape to weekly maintenance.

This is the question we get asked most often before a patio project starts. How long will it take?

Here is the honest answer for a typical Andover backyard:

Design and planning: 1 to 2 weeks
Material sourcing and scheduling: 1 to 2 weeks
Installation: 3 to 5 days on site for most patios

Total from first call to finished project: 4 to 6 weeks depending on the season.

That is why June is the right time to start the conversation if you want to be sitting outside on a finished patio.

Flag Day. June 14th.

There is something about a well-kept yard with a flag out front that just feels right.

The T&B team has been working Andover properties for over 20 years. Every season, every street, every yard we care for is a small part of the community we call home.

Today we are thinking about that. And about everyone who makes this community worth showing up for.

Happy Flag Day from all of us at T&B Landscaping.

We hear this one every summer. Here is the truth.

MYTH: Your irrigation system is set from last year so it is ready to go.

FACT: A system that was not properly winterized can have cracked heads, clogged zones, and pressure issues you will not notice until your lawn starts dying in July.

By then you are playing catch up through the hottest stretch of the year.

A startup inspection takes about an hour. Skipping it can cost you a full lawn restoration.

This Andover backyard sat unused for years.

Overgrown. No real space to gather. The kind of yard you look at and then go back inside.

This spring, the T&B team installed a full natural stone patio, added low-voltage pathway lighting, and built out planting beds that frame the whole space.

Now it is the most used room in the house.

This is what 20 years of working on Andover properties looks like in practice.

June heat arrives faster than most Andover lawns are prepared to handle.

Here are 3 mistakes we see on local properties every single summer.

These seem small. They compound fast.

A quick tune up now saves you from a brown, patchy lawn by August.

Mulch is one of the best things you can do for your yard. It retains moisture, suppresses w**ds, and keeps roots insulated through a New England winter.

But there's one mistake that cancels all of it out: piling it against the base of your trees and shrubs.

It's called "volcano mulching", and it slowly rots the bark, invites pests, and weakens the plant from the ground up. You've probably seen it on half the properties in Andover without knowing what it was.

The fix is simple: keep mulch 2–3 inches away from the trunk, and max depth at 3 inches across the bed.

Small detail. Big difference over time.

Got a mulch installation coming up this spring? We do it right, every time. Free estimates at tblawncare.com.
