Well, another weekend has flown by!

Friday, I spent some time in the shop putting away new inventory and getting things organized, and I feel really good about getting that done. It’s always nice when everything is put away and ready for the next project.

Saturday was family time. My husband and I spent the day with my mother-in-law.

Today was all the usual Sunday stuff… laundry, groceries, a little house cleaning, and getting ready for the week. My daughter and her fiancé came over this afternoon, so we got to spend some time with them too.

Somewhere in between all of that, I also took part in the Summertime in the South Retreat with the Kandi Krew virtually. Everyone involved did such a great job, and I learned so much. I’m really glad I decided to get the virtual ticket.

Now I’m out in the shop working on a patriotic design I’ve been wanting to make. I was hoping to get one or two done this weekend. It looks like one is definitely happening, and I’m going to see if I can squeeze in a second one before the night is over.

🌾 A Little Studio Magic Yesterday🌾

Spent a couple of hours in The Ribbon Station creating these custom pampas stems, and I have to say, I’m pretty excited about how they turned out!

Sometimes I see something in my mind and just have to head to the studio to see if I can bring it to life. These soft, textured stems are perfect for adding movement, depth, to arrangements.

One thing I’m really enjoying lately is stepping outside my comfort zone and exploring different styles. The Ribbon Station will always have bows and wreaths, but I also love creating unique pieces and experimenting with new ideas.

🌿 From Bunny Attachment to Scrap Bucket to Bow 🌿

Last March I made this wreath for Easter using a moss bunny attachment, and it’s been hanging on my office door at work ever since. I brought it home last Friday for a little refresh, and once I removed the bunny… hello, large gap in the greenery.

Instead of opening a new greenery bush, I challenged myself to shop my stash first.

I dug through my scrap bucket, found leftover stems from when I originally made this wreath, and started filling in the empty space. A little eucalyptus here, a few lamb’s ear pieces there — and before long, the wreath was looking full, balanced, and completely revived.

The best part? This entire makeover was created using pieces that might have ended up in the trash. A reminder that those tiny leftover stems and clippings are pure gold when it’s time to refresh a design.

Good morning, everyone! ☀️

Hope you’re having a peaceful and relaxing day. I slept in this morning, did a little meal prep (something new I’m trying), had some breakfast, and now I’m in my recliner watching Baby Sandy nap.

There are a few things I’d like to get done today, so I probably need to get moving before this recliner convinces me to stay here all day! 😂
