🌾 Homestead and homeschool life isn't always rainbows and sunshine. Nor is it predictable or planned.

Some days, animals get sick or injured.

🤪Some days appliances don't work.

Some days take more wetlands and patience than others

🧡One of our hens is egg bound. Thanks to Redhead Homestead LLC for all of her help and wisdom.

This green has not had two Epsom salt baths, is resting in her own space, and we're praying she passes the egg. 🙏

Meanwhile, one of our dogs has a puncture wound on her paw pad. We're keeping it clean, applying coconut oil, and doing our best to convince her not to lick it worth this cute little cone 🐾

And not to mention... our big commercial refrigerator went out last week. 😅

So today we're also having TWO new refrigerator/freezers delivered and trying to figure out where everything is going to go!

All of this is happening while we're gathering meat birds for their trip to the butcher this morning and trying to finish up my weekly bake day. 🍞🥖

Homesteading isn't always easy. It's early mornings, unexpected challenges, and a whole lot of problem-solving when things don't go according to plan.

But it's also teaching our children valuable lessons about responsibility, animal care, perseverance, hard work, and trusting God through the unknown. ❤️

The hard days aren't always the pretty ones you see on social media, but they're often the days that grow us the most.

One thing is for sure—there's never a dull moment around here! 🌿

This picture is what I took with me to the market today and came home with only a few loaves, cookies and scones.

🎉 I made more for this market than I ever had. I didnt know what to expect for an all day market but wanted to go out on a limb.

And I came home with very few items

🧡 Yall continue to amaze me

The support shown for this small dream and bakery is humbling

Morning starts dark and early.....

😍Got the hubby off to work

❤️ Fill my cup, before I can fill the kiddos which means.....dim lighting, quietness, Jesus and Coffee

💞 15 loaves topped and shaped

Its the small things that make me exponentially grateful, like being able to do what I enjoy all while my babies sleep so I can teach them and be with them when they wake!
