From cuttings to future backyard fig trees! 🌱🍈

Chicago Hardy fig babies are officially rooting at OMG Asheville and getting ready for spring. Each cutting is wrapped in Parafilm, dipped in rooting hormone, and planted in perlite to encourage strong, healthy roots.

Propagation season is underway with one very attentive greenhouse supervisor making sure everything stays on schedule! 🐶🍃✨ These organically grown figs will be ready to grow as market season begins.

🌿 Local greenhouse dream 🌿 Today we had the absolute honor of touring and wow, what a magical place! From the moment we arrived, the owners were so kind, welcoming, and full of plant wisdom. 💚

With a series of multiple greenhouses climbing up their stunning mountainside property, each one felt like its own plant wonderland. We were especially excited to spot a local pawpaw variety and some truly rare plant finds along the way! 🍈✨🍋

A huge thank you to our good friend Gavin for the introduction. Sandy Mush Herbs primarily ships online, but getting to see their systems, growing spaces, and heart behind the work in person was an absolute treat.
