🌡☀️ Extreme Heat Advisory PSA ☀️🌡

Hey neighbors! With temps climbing fast and heat advisories heading our way, here are some simple (but powerful) tips to help keep your home comfortable and your AC running strong:

✳️ Keep window coverings closed during the day – especially on the sunny side of your home. This reduces the greenhouse effect inside.
✳️ Avoid indoor cooking – fire up that grill, air fryer, or eat cold meals to keep extra heat out of the kitchen.
✳️ Don’t turn your thermostat up during the day – your AC will work overtime to recover. Pick a temp and let it cruise.
✳️ Check your air filter – a dirty filter chokes your system and costs you comfort and efficiency.
✳️ Rinse off your outdoor AC unit – GENTLY wash it down with a hose to remove dust, grass clippings, and debris.
✳️ Keep doors closed – every time that door swings open, hot air rushes in and cool air escapes.
✳️ Ceiling fans help

If your AC is struggling or something seems off, don’t wait until it gives up on the hottest day.

Reminder to keep your furnace exhaust clear of ice and snow to keep your furnace running safe. Blocked vents can also cause dangerous carbon monoxide build up.
