Scout your location for your garden beds & containers. You will need at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. A well blended soil with compost, organic fertilizer, your preferred watering system, and you are set to begin.
* Get your final seed orders in if you haven’t already to ensure you get what you want. Source local garden centers for the perfect starter plants.
* Give your garden tools a good cleaning and sharpening.
* Sow seeds outdoors for the following crops as soil and weather conditions permit: beets, carrots, Swiss chard, leaf lettuce, kohlrabi, mustard, collards and turnip greens, spinach, onion and parsnips.
