You think unforgiveness locks them out. It actually locks you in. Yeshua told a story about a servant who was forgiven a debt he could never repay, then turned around and choked a man over pocket change. The master’s response wasn’t gentle. He delivered him to the tormentors “till he should pay all that was due unto him” (Matthew 18:34). Tormentors. Not a metaphor. That’s what unforgiveness actually is. A cell you built thinking you were locking someone else in, and now you’re the one who lives there.

This is exactly where the devil goes to work. He doesn’t need to touch the person who hurt you again. He just needs you to keep them alive in your head, replaying it, feeding it, protecting it like it’s evidence for a case that already closed. Paul warned the church not to let the sun go down on their wrath and “neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:26-27). Give place. That’s a legal term. It means territory. Every night you go to bed still holding that offense, you’re handing him ground he didn’t earn and doesn’t deserve.

Prophetic declaration: I declare the tormentors have no legal right to you anymore. Yahweh is releasing you from a debt you were never required to keep collecting. The next time that memory rises, it rises without its grip.

Some of us are asking Yahweh to take us higher while refusing to put down what is making the climb impossible.

We want more anointing, more influence, more opportunities, more revelation—but “higher” is not always about getting more.

Sometimes higher means surrendering more.

Abraham had to take Isaac up the mountain. Isaac wasn't something evil. Isaac was the promise. And sometimes the hardest things to surrender are not bad things—they are things we love, things we prayed for, and even things Yahweh gave us.

The real question is not, “What has Yahweh given me?”

The question is:

“If He asks for it, does it still belong to Him?”

Your relationship.

Your plans.

Your position.

Your reputation.

Your money.

Your ministry.

Your dream.

Your need to be right.

Your future.

Your entire life.

We can give Yahweh ninety percent and spend years building a cave around the ten percent we refuse to surrender.

And because we're still praying, still going to church, still preaching, still serving, and still seeing blessings, we convince ourselves that the cave is the mountain.

It isn't.

Past obedience cannot replace present obedience.

Yesterday's yes cannot compensate for today's no.

Maybe the reason you feel like you've stopped growing isn't because Yahweh stopped calling you.

Maybe you've reached the place where the next step costs something you're still holding.

Ask yourself:

What obedience currently feels too expensive for me?

Pay attention to the answer.

There may be a cave nearby.

The valley is where He found you.

The mountain is where He's calling you.

Don't build a home halfway there.

Keep climbing.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is not a feeling. It’s a decision you make before your feelings catch up.
Yeshua didn’t wait to feel forgiveness on the cross — He spoke it while the nails were still in.

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:34)

Somebody reading this is waiting to feel ready. You won’t. Decide anyway.

The Danger of Seeking Validation

One of the most subtle traps the enemy sets for the people of Yahweh is the need for human approval. It doesn’t look like rebellion. It looks like insecurity. It sounds like “I just want to know I’m on the right track.” But when your next move requires someone else’s nod, you’ve handed your assignment to the wrong authority.
Validation-seeking doesn’t just slow you down — it rewires you. You start editing what Yahweh told you to say. You soften the word to protect the relationship. You wait for the room to agree before you obey. And slowly, the voice you’re listening for stops being His.
Yahweh didn’t call you to be understood. He called you to be obedient. The approval you need was settled in Yeshua.

Walk in it.

WHY WE ALWAYS WANT A REASON

People always want a reason to react sinfully — to justify the flesh, to defend pride, to protect ego. We want to feel right even when we’re acting wrong. The truth is, sin always looks for a reason to exist. The flesh craves validation. It wants to be heard, seen, and comforted — even if it means stepping outside of God’s will.

But God doesn’t excuse what the flesh justifies. He never has and never will. We sin because we choose to, not because we have to. Every moment is a test of who’s really in control — the Spirit or the flesh.

The real issue isn’t the situation — it’s our submission. We’d rather defend our reaction than crucify our flesh. We want to be right more than we want to be righteous.

If you belong to Christ, then the old you doesn’t get to have a voice anymore. You don’t need a reason to act right — you have a Redeemer who gave you power to do so.

Scripture:
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16
“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.” — Romans 8:5
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20
