🚨 DEMO DAY 1 — AND THIS IS WHY YOU DON’T JUST COVER WATER DAMAGE.

This home flooded, and thankfully, our client called a mitigation team right away. Then she called Georgia Home Fix to handle the restoration.

But once we started digging in… we found mold and fungal growth that had been left behind. 😳

That changes our plan.

Before we put one piece of new LVP down, we’re making sure the old materials are completely removed and the affected areas are properly addressed.

We immediately consulted with the lead technician from our trusted remediation company we work with so we could make sure this job is handled the right way from the ground up.

Today is Demo Day 1.🛠️

➡️ Remove the old.
➡️ Address what’s underneath.
➡️ Eliminate microbial concerns.
➡️ Restore it properly.
➡️ THEN install the beautiful new floor.

Because restoration isn’t about making damage look better.

It’s about making sure the problem is actually taken care of.

We’re getting this homeowner back to a clean, safe, beautiful space — one step at a time. ❤️

🏡 Sunroom Remodel Update | Phase 1 Complete!

This sunroom is officially taking shape! 🔨✨

We’ve wrapped up Phase 1 of this remodel and have already started moving into Phase 2. What started as an outdated space is becoming a beautiful, functional extension of the home—and we’re excited to see the transformation continue!

We’ll be putting the project on a temporary pause while our client is out of the country, but the progress we’ve made so far is something to be proud of. We’ll pick right back up when she returns and continue bringing the vision to life.

At Georgia Home Fix, we believe in doing things the right way, in the right order, and with the long-term result in mind. Sometimes that means taking a pause—but it’s always worth it when the finished product is done right. ❤️

This is what Day 1 really looks like. 😅

We're taking this existing sunroom and beginning the process of transforming it into a space that can actually be enjoyed, used, and loved.

Today was all about **getting down to the bones of the project**—removing the existing flooring/materials, clearing out what needs to go, and figuring out exactly what we're working with before we start putting anything back.

And if there's one thing we've learned over the years:

**The pretty part comes later.**

The dust, demolition, mess, problem-solving, and attention to the details come first. That's where doing things the right way matters.

We're not interested in covering up problems just to make something look good.

**We want to build it right.**
