We are honored to have received a Bronze Design Excellence Award from ASID Georgia in the Commercial 50,000 SF and above category for our work on Synovus Place in Columbus, Georgia.

This 122,000 square foot ground-up workplace consolidates multiple Synovus locations into a single building designed to reflect their culture, strengthen connection, and adapt to the future. From interconnected neighborhoods and biophilic design to a comprehensive change management strategy, every decision was made with the people who work there at the center.

The result is a workplace rooted in community, wellbeing, and the belief that where you work shapes how you work.
None of it would have been possible without the incredible client, partners, and vendors who brought this vision to life.

“I am not a designer.” – Isamu Noguchi 1949 interview

Those were the words of Isamu Noguchi, an artist who refused to be defined by a single discipline and whose work transcended the boundaries between sculpture, space, and human experience.

Last week, the Hendrick team was invited by MillerKnoll and spinneybeck for lunch and a tour of the Noguchi exhibition at the in Atlanta.

Walking through this collection was a powerful reminder that the best design is never just functional. It carries intention, emotion, and a deep understanding of the people who move through it, and that is something we think about every day.

"Feeling incredibly excited to be part of the Shaw Contracts DesignED this year. It’s such a great opportunity to learn and connect with inspiring people in the design community. I’m truly grateful for the experience and everything it’s already teaching me, all while making some new friends!"

We are so proud of one of our Junior Designers, Lily Peelman, who was selected to participate in Shaw Contract's DesignED program this year.

DesignED is an incredible opportunity designed to support rising talent in the industry through professional development, CEUs, sustainability education, manufacturing tours, and hands-on learning experiences.
