2016 RENOVATION: 1000 Monterrey Blvd, Saint Petersburg FL Compare the "Before and After" Front and back of home.
Key features of the renovation:
1) Converted a lower level garage storage space to a recreational area with a movie viewing room, a billiard table, and a ping pong table adding several hundred square feet of usable space for a total of 7000 square feet.
2) A privacy issue was addressed through landscaping. A home was built close to the property line creating a lack of privacy between the two homes. Non spreading bamboo created a beautiful division.
3) The hardwood floors were refinished to a dark espresso throughout to ground the light space.
4) Colors: The "before" peach exterior color also ran throughout the interior of the house. The interior was repainted a soft white color throughout not to distract from the view. This created a nice contrast with the floors. It's amazing what changing the color palette can do!
5) All light fixtures were updated, the furniture layout was reconfigured to be more conducive to an open floor plan, the functionality of some rooms changed, draperies were added.
