It's year 10, and while we are still in a different place, we continue to honor and celebrate a life that was taken from us way too soon. I sometimes ride past the location you served as a Lifeguard for us in that community, not often.

Here at home, our tradition has changed, the Lifeguard rescue tube and f***y pack has dry rotted to the point of no return. We HOPE the dedication plaque is stil hanging in place. But yes, there are key people in that community that know if it ever comes down we will get it and present it to her family wherever they are.

After 10 years now......and so many changes within the Country, County and Community, even more may not know, many may have forgotten, the majority will never understand what the plaque means and represents.

I promised you laying in that hospital bed holding your hand while you fought a battle you couldn't win, it's a promise I made to you, your family, and friends.....and while life moves forward, material things fall apart, one way or another WE will NEVER FORGET to honor your memory in some form....even if it's just a post to remind everyone.

It is a privilege to continue to remember you, a disappointment the rescue tube and f***y pack are gone, but you were a wonderful young woman and employee, and part of our family.....that part will NEVER change.

Here at home, we continue the tradition of hanging a wreath, a Lifeguard rescue tube and added a f***y pack with proper equipment at our home. The only part missing is the dedication plaque. However people in that community know that of it ever comes down we will get it and present it to her family.

After 9 years ......and so many changes within the community, some may not know, some may have forgotten, some will never truly understand what the plaque means and represents. Again, as I promised you laying in that hospital bed holding your hand while you fought a battle you couldn't win, and that promise was made to your family WE will NEVER FORGET to honor your memory.

Can it happen without draining and starting over? Yes, it can! 4 hours into the process...and it's not done yet...but this family will have a happy kid by Memorial Day weekend!

Looking for part-time work? We have openings from now until September 4th at a community pool in Newnan, GA as a Pool Monitor.

Open 7 days/week. 2 shifts per day, pay direct deposit every Friday. Must have transportation to and from, and cell phone.

Monday - Friday 12-430 and 430-9

Pool safety OUTSIDE and AROUND your pool.

Please make sure the area around your pool and pool equipment is clear of any overgrowth, tall grass and overhanging limbs. Snakes are out and while most are harmless nobody wants to walk up on one and be surprised. Another issue is bees and wasps as they like to build nests in those areas and rodents like to seek shelter as well.

If you notice ants around your pool deck or pool equipment - please spray or put down granules to kill them. Ants do find the back side of pump motors very inviting to build in. If your equipment is under warranty - warranty will NOT cover equipment failures due to rodents chewing on wires nor ants (etc) building inside them. This could lead to a very costly repair having to replace a motor, timer or other equipment. While we do not mind making these repairs, a few simple steps can save you hundreds of dollars in repair costs and even hospital bills if bitten or stung.

We kindly request that if your pool equipment is surrounded by tall brush, overgrowth, plants, bushes, vines, etc or in an enclosure that you please cut it back to give us access to a 3' area (3 foot area) to safely get to your equipment.

While the pictures are NOT from any of our customers, it shows how easy it is for a snake to hide in overgrown grass, lay on rocks near the pool and hide in the beautiful landscaping you may have close by. If you do find a snake in or around your pool, skimmer, or equipment - use caution as you remove it. (Hint-do NOT blindly stick your finger in the hole of the skimmer lid.... you can bend a wire hanger or use a skimmer hook to take the lid off and pull your skimmer basket(s) out - provided you have the handle on your basket)
