e. As a certified home color consultant, I use Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore designer kit colors. My process includes understanding what you want, and evaluating your home space to narrow down best choices. You’ll see these choices displayed in easy-to-view large color swatches. With prior professional experience in the residential painting industry, I’ll also teach you how to correctly test your final color choices, and discuss which paints and finishes best fit your lifestyle & budget. I can also offer you insights on what to look for when choosing qualified painters. Like I say, don't throw good money away on bad paint choices; let me help steer you in the right direction! About myself, I am a southerner on both sides of the map; I’m a native Southern Californian who moved to Georgia in the early 90’s. I love everything about Atlanta: the people, the annual explosion of springtime color, the sports landscape and the abundant food choices. For 14 years, I helped business owners locally market their products & services in sporting goods, food service, even auto repair. I spent the next 13 years in sales & project management, first in promotional apparel, and most recently for a residential painting company where I learned the intricacies of the professional painting industry. Being a lifelong DIY painter, I know I surprised a painter or 2 with my painting knowledge and ability to speak to them in fluent Spanish. What I never expected was to leave that world knowing more about carpentry repairs than most men. Being able to use my creativity, and work with people simultaneously is what drives & motivates me every day!

This Cu***ng house looked tired. The greige & taupe brick came to life with Aesthetic White siding trimmed out with Morris Room Gray. Andiron provided the right shade of green on the shutters my client was looking for. Popping the front door with a light sage green was an easy call once the shutter color revealed itself in the sunshine. My client loved what that did to the finished look.

This homeowner began painting the trim & windows Tricorn Black to match their new black garage door. But once the painters began, she sensed trouble and called me. Since her brick & mortar were warm, black was just too stark. Instead, a version of oil rubbed bronze (SW Sealskin) paired with a less greenish siding color (SW Serengetti Grass) softened the contrast and gave her the look she was seeking.

Light bulbs are the most misunderstood piece of color selection. Bulb color appearance (kelvins) can wreck havoc on how colors appear to you. To see the TRUE color of painted walls & cabinets, a 3000 kelvin bulb does the trick. 3000K shines a whiter prism of warm light, but not heavy yellow. Costco & Home Depot sell LED "adjustable" bulbs, that offer multiple kelvin options you can manually adjust at the side of the bulb. Give 'em a try & see the difference for yourself!
