Historic homes especially call for extra care and attention, and here, every space had its own set of considerations. This designer collaboration is the kind of project we absolutely love.

Words like these make every detail worth it. Thank you so much, Melanie, for trusting us.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Elizabeth and the team at Stitch Above the Rest did an exceptional job when we worked together on an interior design project in fall 2025 / winter 2026. We had two vintage chairs reupholstered, as well as custom drapery and curtains. Consultative approach. High-quality materials. Great care was taken to protect the plaster walls in our historic home during installation. We are very pleased and hope to work with them again in the future. Would recommend!" - Melanie C.

School's out, and High School (Georgia's oldest high school!) is graduating to a brand new building! 🎓Congratulations to Cherokee County on this exciting milestone. We were proud to play a part in bringing it to life.

Swipe to see what went into it. Our team designed, fabricated, and installed motorized draperies across two full floors — 45 feet wide along a curved wall, with 7 more feet wrapping around on each side. The install alone took nearly 10 hours.

It's the kind of project that pushes every skill we have, from engineering and fabrication to logistics and installation. And it's exactly the kind of work we love most. We're working on the extra credit...stay tuned for the full notes on this project and how it all came together on the blog. 📚

No project too large. No window too complex. Reach out and let's talk about yours.

This living room collaboration, designed by the talented team at Polished Home Interiors, is a perfect example of how the right window treatments truly elevate a space.

To the designers we work with and the ones we haven't met yet...we're the workroom that gets excited about the details.

The word “custom” gets used a lot in this industry. But there’s a difference between selecting from a set of options and actually engineering a solution from scratch.

This kitchen bay window is the latter, and it started with a client who simply needed the sun to stop winning. At Stitch Above the Rest, we work directly with homeowners and interior designers in Atlanta to solve problems that don’t have a standard answer.

There’s something special about seeing a project go from concept… to completion… to print.

We’re so excited to share that a beautiful project with Sarah Storms of New Jersey is officially featured in the latest issue of . This stunning home located on Saint Simons Island, GA was such a special project to be a small part of.

One of the things we love most about what we do is the collaboration with talented designers from all over the country. Even when they’re states away, we help manage the details, fabrication, logistics, and installation support needed to help bring their vision to life seamlessly.

Seeing a designer’s work recognized in print is always exciting, and we’re grateful Sarah trusted us with a portion of this incredible project. Congratulations on a beautiful and well-deserved feature . 💕

Designers, are you still hunting for that perfect finishing piece?

When it comes to soft goods, the difference is in the details. Size, proportion, fill, fabric… it all matters. And sometimes what you need simply doesn’t exist off the shelf.

That’s where custom comes in. This bolster pillow was made specifically for this bed, this fabric, and this space, so it doesn’t just “work,” it belongs.

Hanging your drapery just above the window frame? You’re missing an opportunity.

Mounting panels higher (in this case, just under the crown molding) draws the eye up, adds height, and gives the entire room a more finished, architectural feel.

These neutral pinch pleat draperies are a perfect example. Hung high and tailored just right, they soften the space while making the ceilings feel taller and the windows more substantial. It’s a small shift that makes a big difference.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there, especially the ones who have stayed up all night just to make something beautiful for their kids.

My mom was one of those. And honestly, everything I do today traces back to her and her sewing machine. I was always that little girl who would not stop begging to use it. Thank goodness she gave in.

This month, as we continue to celebrate 20 years of Stitch Above the Rest, we're starting a new blog series called The Machines Behind the Work. And there is only one place to start. The full story of this machine will be on the blog soon. Stay tuned.

This week in Nashville was supposed to be about learning StoryBrand marketing from and his incredible team.

And while I absolutely came away with new clarity, ideas, and direction for my business… I honestly left with so much more than that.

From the moment we walked into the first night’s cocktail gathering, there was this feeling that we weren’t just attending a conference… we were being welcomed into a community of creative, driven people all trying to build something meaningful.

Over the next few days, I had the opportunity to learn from not just Donald Miller, but his staff as well… people like JJ, Wes, and Brooke. There were so many there whose passion for helping businesses communicate better was contagious.

But one of the most unforgettable evenings happened at Donald Miller’s home.

A small group of us were served an incredible dinner in his carriage house (where he does all his writing) prepared by celebrity chef (from the Food Network), and afterward we were treated to an intimate performance by Nashville songwriters David Hodges and Caitlyn Smith sharing not only their music, but the stories behind the songs they’ve written.

And honestly… that’s what made the entire experience so impactful for me.

Story.
Connection.
Emotion.
Meaning.

Not just in marketing. In life.

I also had the chance to personally meet and talk with Donald, his wife Betsy, and their daughter Emmeline. Seeing the heart behind the people who built all of this made the experience feel even more genuine and memorable.

I came to Nashville hoping to become better at telling my company’s story.

I left reminded that the best businesses are built by people who understand how to make others feel something.
