Young Leadership Awards celebrates the life’s work and 85th birthday of Ambassador Young. As one of the last living architects of the Civil Rights Movement, Young’s roles as pastor, activist, ambassador, congressman and mayor serves as the foundation for the most important phase of his work: developing the next generation of young leaders. A bi-annual celebration, this historic and inspiring eveni

ng will also include honoring a group of transformational young leaders that have made a profound impact on the lives of others through innovative solution oriented programs and initiatives that address universal challenges facing future generations. Past awardees have included American director, screenwriter, film marketer, and film distributor, Ava DuVernay; London-based Zimbabwean businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Strive Masiyiwa; co-founder of the Shepherd Center, Alana Shepherd, Congolese-Canadian businessman and publisher of Forbes Afrique, Lucien Ebata; and musical talent, Warner Williams.
