Mother Nature might not have gotten the memo for the unofficial start of summer this weekend 🌧️🥶, but a little gray weather isn’t going to stop us from daydreaming about a summer full of sunshine!

Memorial Day weekend always has us looking back at some of our favorite outdoor spaces we’ve designed over the years. There’s truly nothing better than creating a seamless flow between your indoor living and the beautiful fresh air—especially when you get to enjoy those gorgeous coastal breezes right here in Monmouth County! 🌊

My personal bathroom refresh has been playing second fiddle to some amazing projects lately, but I finally carved out time for a long-overdue progress update. The resized window is officially in, the paint is refreshed, and this tile is finally getting the spotlight it deserves.

The very last step is the best part: sourcing the art. Stay tuned.

Is a thing? I tried to make you guys a video, but it was an epic fail. Maybe I’ll post it in stories if you want a good laugh. Time for a tripod and a manicure. Enjoy the weekend!

We’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a look back at our favorite green-hued spaces, from botanical wallpapers to moody green tile. We love how an intentional touch of green brings a sense of calm and eclectic charm to your home.

There’s a certain magic in a gloomy Wednesday—the kind that tells you it’s okay to stay inside just a little longer.

We designed this front room as a sanctuary for those slow-motion moments. It’s a space that leans into the mood: deep green velvet, the crackle of a favorite record spinning, and the grounding ritual of burning sage. It’s all about clearing the air and letting the afternoon settle in.

From the curated layers on the floating shelves to the soft light, every detail here tells a story. Whether it’s a quiet morning lost in a book or an evening of wine and vinyl with friends, this room was built with intention.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of having a dedicated space to truly disappear into. We designed this suite for our client’s daughter to be the ultimate soft landing—a retreat that feels sophisticated, warm, and entirely like home.

By layering the soft, sculptural curves of the boucle bed with organic wood tones and thoughtful textiles, we created a sanctuary meant for slow mornings and deep relaxation. It’s a place to reset and get away from the noise of the world, tucked right inside the family home.

The best kind of bedroom feels like a long, deep exhale. For the primary suite at Hartshorne Haven, we focused on creating a sanctuary where the outside world just… falls away.

By layering soft botanical wallpapers with warm ochre tones and rich textures, we transformed this suite into a sophisticated but soulful hideaway. From the custom vanity’s soft sage cabinetry to the spa-like wet room, every inch was designed to simplify the morning rush and elevate the evening wind-down. We even gave the transition its own moment, designing custom built-ins and a quiet landing that creates a deliberate, private threshold into the suite.

If you caught Tuesday’s kitchen tour, you might have seen this view peeking through the windows. We designed this screened-in porch to feel like a true extension of the woodsy outdoors right in the backyard. By pulling those deep cedar tones and calming, natural textures inside, the transition from the house to the trees feels completely effortless. It’s the ultimate spot to feel immersed in nature from the comfort of your sofa.

It’s the kind of space that makes you realize just how long this winter has actually felt (approximately eighty-four years, give or take). Looking back at these photos has us officially counting down the days until "porch season" is a daily reality and not just a beautiful memory on our camera roll.

The next stop on the Hartshorne Haven Tour: the heart of the home. While the kitchen was designed by , we loved stepping in to layer in details like the architectural beams, lighting, and final styling. Adding the warmth that makes this space truly sing.

Just steps away is the dining room, a space fully designed by our team to be as functional for Tuesday night takeout as it is for a holiday spread. It’s all about creating that seamless, intentional flow we love.

The first step into Hartshorne Haven is all about that transition from the outside world into a place of calm. 🌿✨

We’re kicking off a tour of this project in the entry—a space where rugged utility meets a soft landing. Because let’s be real: an entry needs to work hard. We leaned into durable flooring and plenty of hooks for the "real life" stuff, but softened the edges with a vintage bench and layers of collected art.

It’s a quiet, intentional introduction to the rest of this woodland retreat. We’ll be sharing the rest of the home room-by-room over the next two weeks, so stay tuned.
