Hello...My Name Is Paul Barile and Welcome To My Face Book Page. This Page Was Created To Document The Building of My New Home, Property and Life On A Shoe String Budget Following a Catastrophic Wild Fire in The State of California.
On September 5th of 2020 I Lost My Home and Everything I Own To One of The Largest Devastating Wild Fires In Modern California History Named the "Creek Fire".
The Creek Fire Was Located In The California Sierra Nevada Mountains and Destroyed Approx 380,000 Acers of Land And Almost 1,000 Structures. My Home Was Located at Huntington Lake in the Sierra Nevada High Country. My Home and Everything I Own Was Destroyed. My Home and Family had Been at Huntington Lake For Approx four Generations. The Loss of Everything was Devastating. Due To The Severity of Land Damage and the Expense of Clean up and the High Cost of Rebuilding I Had To Abandon the Property and was unable to rebuild my Family Home at Huntington Lake.
In October of 2020 I Located 5 Acers of Private Mountain Property Near Shaver Lake and Approx 30 Miles Away From the Location Where I Had Lost My Home. The 5 Acers of Land Had also Suffered Damage From The Creek Fire and The Remains of The Burned Home Were Still on The Property. Although The Home was Destroyed...The Property and Land was Almost Completely Intact as Well as Most of The Infrastructure. (ie) Power, Water and Septic.
With a Very Small Budget I Purchased The Burned Property and the Burned Residential Remains in Cash, a Used RV and Various Hand tools and Began A Solo Endeavor to Clean and Rebuild The Property and Create a Home. The Property was Given The Name "The Phoenix Ranch" Meaning Born from Catastrophe to Rise From The Ashes.
With A Budget Of 153,000 Dollars and BY Doing The Work Myself To Save Expenses...I Spent Just More Than Half The Buget Amount to Purchase The Property In Cash, The Disposal of The Residential Remains, a Used RV, Tools and a 75 Year Old Tractor.
In November of 2020 I Began the Clean Up and Rebuilding Process on My Own. One Year Later Almost to the Date I Successfully Restored All Infrastructure on The Property and Moved My RV To the Property.
The Restoration of the Property Will Take Several More Years. This Is A Long Term Commitment. I Work Full Time and Are A Working Cowboy and Photographer Since My Retirement In 2018 From The Sheriff's Department Where I Was A Deputy Sheriff and Former Paramedic With Almost 31 Years of Public Service Under My Belt.
My Work and Rebuilding of My Ranch, Property and Home is Done By Me on My Days Off and Any Spare Time I Have. The Goal This Year Since I Have Moved to the Property and Are Tempoarliy / long Term Living in a RV at The Property Is To Get My Property Fenced, Barn Built and Get My Horses on Site.
The Purpose Of This Face Book Page is To Document The Re-Building of My Life, Property and Home That I Have Named The "Phoenix Ranch" A Task I Am Doing alone and From Scratch.
I Will Be Designing a series Of Phoenix Ranch Logos Which Will Be Placed on to Items Such as Hoodie Style Sweat Shirts Etc.. Which Will Be Sold Thru This Page to Help Generate Additional Income to Help Pay For The Materials and Construction of My Home And Property. I Am Hoping to Have Some Items Available as soon as January of 2022.
