Central Texas is headed for 4 days of freezing weather!!!

Tips for the freeze:
Don't just shut off your water! There is still water in the lines that will freeze and crack pipes.
Wrap outdoor hose bibs with layers of towels, place a plastic trash bag over the towel, then secure with duct tape or bungee cord. If the hose bib is on a north wall, place something in front of the hose bib to block the wind. Simply foam faucet covers will not be enough when temperatures dip below 28 degrees.
Small stream (more than a drip) of both hot and cold water in all faucets for pier and beam homes. For homes on a slab, small stream of hot and cold for fixtures that back up to an exterior wall. As the temperatures drop so may the water pressure and you will need to increase the water flow.
Open all cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate.
Know where your property owner's valve is in case of emergency.
Exterior tankless water heaters can be assisted with a heat lamp focused on the bottom of the heater. Not all heat lamps can be used when there is precipitation so please be aware of that! The ceramic socket recommended.

Stay save and stay warm!

Well, the weather outside is frightful.....

Tips for the freeze.

Wilson Plumbing Company will continue to wear masks and follow all CDC guidelines even though Governor Greg Abbott has declared Texas "100 percent open" and won't uphold that masks are required. We hold our employees, their families, and our customers as valuable assets and will continue to do everything we can to uphold all CDC requirements concerning the spread of COVID19.

Wilson Plumbing Company, Inc. has been closed this week due to weather conditions in the Austin area. We will also be closed on Friday, February 19th. It is impossible for our trucks to operate safely with the current road conditions. We want to assure you we will do everything we can to help our customers as soon as it is safe.

Our phone lines and internet have also been down most of this time and we continue to have spotty service. Please call and leave a message or email us at [email protected] and we will get to you as soon as we can man the office for service calls.

We know this has been a very difficult time for so many and please know it will take some time before everything can return to normal.

Our prayers go out to all the front line men and women doing their best to get frozen limbs off lines, manning stations, and getting power restored. We also hold close everyone in Texas as we deal with this unprecedented weather event.

We ask your patience as we move through the next few weeks to get everyone taken care of.

Stay safe Austin!
