Hicks Home Renovations is looking for an experienced estimator to help handle a high volume of incoming leads.

This is a commission-based position with strong earning potential for the right person.

🔧 Responsibilities:
• Meet with clients on-site
• Assess project scope (interior & exterior residential work)
• Create accurate estimates and proposals
• Communicate clearly with clients and our team

✅ Requirements:
• Experience in construction/estimating (REQUIRED)
• Strong knowledge of residential remodeling (siding, flooring, roofing, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Good communication and people skills
• Self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule

💰 Compensation:
• Commission-based (the more you close, the more you make)

Lots of exciting things happening lately! I’m extremely grateful for all the opportunities and the trust people continue to put in us. If I haven’t been posting as much, it’s simply because things have been going really well and most of my time has been spent out in the field getting projects done.

Here’s a quick look at a few of the recent projects:

• Kitchen remodel in Mishawaka – This one is nearly wrapped up. We’re currently waiting on the countertops to be installed, and once those are in we’ll be finishing it off with the backsplash.

• Site inspection for another company – Getting out to evaluate a project and help assess the scope of work.

• Seamless gutter installation – Installed new 5” seamless gutters around a porch to improve drainage and protect the structure.

• Foundation repair in Garrett – Completed work to stabilize and repair foundation issues.

• Lighting upgrade in Kendallville – Installed 16 dimmable lights with dimming switches in 16 rooms at a local elderly care center to improve lighting comfort for residents. These rooms weren’t being used because the lack of lighting.

And that’s just a few of the things we’ve had going on lately. Many more projects to come!

Toilet leak = soft floors and hidden damage. We tore out the bad subfloor, rebuilt it the right way, then finished it off with a fresh bathroom update: new toilet, new vanity + mirror, new flooring, and paint.

If your bathroom floor feels spongy, smells musty, or you’ve had a leak — don’t ignore it. We’ll find the damage and fix it clean and solid.

Quick project update—this floor is getting done the right way. We’re pulling the tile so we can set the new vinyl plank at the correct height with the rest of the flooring. It’s extra work, but it gives better results: smoother transitions and a cleaner finished look. Next is LVP install and reinstalling the trim. Need flooring done? This space got a serious upgrade.

We installed 8 LED gimbal lights in the cathedral ceiling and stained + installed new trim across the beam — and it completely changed how the room feels.

The lighting is clean, adjustable, and bright where you actually need it. The stained beam trim tied everything together and made the ceiling look finished instead of unfinished.

This is one of those projects that makes people say,
“Why didn’t we do this sooner?”
