Another side quest.

The GHW June festival schedule..

June 6-7: Fairport Canal Days. We'll be located on South Main Street in front of the Village Landing. Come and see us along with the many other talents artists, makers, and crafts people.

June 13th: The second annual No BS Brew Company Renaissance Festival. Last year was a blast! Come see sword fighting and other weapons demonstrations, there will be several interactive events such as catapult making for the kids, along with several craft vendors. Also... turkey legs!

All gave some, some gave all. That's a pretty powerful statement when you think about it. Today isn't about grilling burgers and enjoying a day off work — it's about honoring those who paid the ultimate price so the rest of us could enjoy the freedoms we have today.

We are a divided country, now more than ever. Whether you're blue, red, or some shade of purple is really irrelevant. You're free to express your opinions, whatever they may be, because of the people who fought and died for you to have that right.

So go ahead — throw some burgers on the grill, crack open a cold one, and enjoy your day away from the grind. But while you're doing that, set aside your political differences and raise a glass to those who sacrificed everything so we could.
