Shabbat Shalom Dear Friends,
There is a sacred rhythm woven into the very fabric of creation—a day set apart, blessed, and made holy from the very beginning. The Sabbath. The Living God, our Creator, established this day as a time of rest, reflection, and renewal—a precious gift meant to draw us closer to Him.
In a world filled with chaos, distraction, and endless striving, many have forgotten this ancient path. But God’s call to honor the Sabbath remains steadfast—He declares it to be a sign forever, a covenant between Him and His people. The Sabbath was not just for ancient Israel; it is a lasting promise for all who seek to follow the Lamb of God.
Today, I invite you to pause and reflect. Consider how this holy day was created at the dawn of time, marked by God Himself as a day of rest after His work of creation. Through the Sabbath, we remember our identity as His beloved, not defined by our labor but by His love and grace.
Returning to the Sabbath is not about rules and rituals—it is about relationship. It is about resting in His presence, delighting in His creation, and realigning our hearts with His eternal truth. It is an invitation to come back to the simplicity and purity of worship, where we acknowledge that He alone is the source of life, strength, peace and unconditional love.
Let us turn our hearts back to the original ways of the Living God. Let us honor the Sabbath as a joyful celebration of His faithfulness and His everlasting covenant. As we gather, worship, and rest, we declare our desire to walk in His ways, to remember His works, and to prepare our hearts for the day when we will dwell with Him forever.
Join us on this journey of rediscovery. Together, let us seek the old paths, the ways of truth and life, and return to the heart of worship—honoring our Creator through the Sabbath.
He calls us to be with him on this holy day. Join me in his rest.
With grace and peace,

A 5 minute Bible Study - God is showing us how to have a relationship with him. When I read these scriptures for myself it resonated with my soul and I believe the Sabbath IS the foundational cornerstone to a personal relationship with him.
Grab your bible and read for yourselves.
Genesis 2:1-3 (The Establishment of Sabbath at the End of The Creation)
Exodus 16:23-30 (Sabbath Instruction with Manna)
Exodus 20:8-11 (The Fourth Commandment)
Leviticus 23:3 (Holy Convocation)
Deuteronomy 5:12-15 (The Sabbath Command Restated)
The key points are:
Completion of Creation: God finished His work on the sixth day.
Rest on the Seventh Day: God ceased from His creative activities, marking a divine rest.
Sanctification of the Day: God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, setting it apart from the other six days.
Thus, the Sabbath was indeed established at the end of creation as a divine ordinance for rest and reflection, modeled by God Himself.
In today’s world, returning to the Lord can feel like a daunting journey. We are constantly bombarded by distractions—social media, busy schedules, and a culture that often prioritizes self over surrender. The pressures to conform, succeed, and achieve can drown out the quiet call of our Creator, who longs for our hearts to be still and listen.
Sometimes, we may feel ashamed of how far we have drifted or worry that our mistakes are too great to be forgiven. The enemy uses guilt and fear to make us believe we are unworthy of God’s love. Yet, our God is not distant or angry; He is the loving Father waiting with open arms, calling us back to His grace.
A Call to Repentance
Returning to the Lord requires humility and honesty. It is about acknowledging our sins and seeking forgiveness through genuine repentance. Scripture reminds us that, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9, ESV).
God’s mercy is not a limited resource; it overflows with compassion for those who seek Him. Repentance is not just about admitting wrong but turning our lives toward God—choosing His ways over ours and allowing His Spirit to transform us. It means letting go of our pride, our fears, and our past, and embracing the new life He offers.
Prayer of Repentance and Renewal
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart burdened by the weight of my sins and my wandering ways. I confess that I have strayed from Your path, choosing my desires over Your will. Forgive me, Lord, for the times I ignored Your call and chose the world over Your Word.
Today, I choose to turn back to You. Cleanse me, restore me, and renew my spirit. Help me to walk humbly, to seek Your guidance, and to live a life that honors You. Fill my heart with a longing to know You more and to serve You faithfully.
Thank You for Your unending grace and for always welcoming me back. I trust in Your mercy and believe in the power of Your forgiveness. Lead me, Father, into the fullness of Your love, and help me to never stray again.
In the name of our Messiah, the Lamb of God, I pray. Amen.
