I started a garden with my mommy and together we are going to plant thousands of wildflowers, herbs, vegetables and pretty flowers.

A lot has sprouted in Acey’s Garden; and I assure you he did a LITERAL backflip when he saw he reached 40 followers here on Facebook!

Way to go Acey!!! Another congratulations to him for his first sprouted Jack O’ Lantern Pumpkin 🎃 He is super excited!

Some of our sprouts didn’t like their transplants but we are doing our best to keep them happy. 😊 Let’s see what we’ve done so far: 👇

• Blended our Wildflower Seeds, Zinnia’s, Chamomile, Marigold, Sweet Benjamin and Helichrysum into last years Wildflower Planter.
Which to our surprise started sprouting on its own before we added our seeds, so we cannot wait to see what’s about to grow.

• Transplanted our Turnips who did not enjoy the moment as much as we did.

• Sprouted: Fenugreek, Dill, Rosemary, Turnips, Raddish, Pumpkin, all of our flowers listed above and still have our Chilis from September going strong.

• Planted: Yes… we didnt stop there, we have 3 varieties of spinach in one of our planters as well as planted a forgotten citrus tree seed - so I wonder what that’s going to be, Lemon or Orange? 💕 Let’s wait and see.

Hello friends! Acey turned 8 years old this past January!!! HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY ACE! 🎉 🎂

Aceys Garden had a late start this year but we will not back down from the opportunity to plant🪴

Momma has started germinating TWENTY THREE different plants (listed below) 👇
Get ready for flowers, vegetables, herbs, Jack o’ Lantern Pumpkins, and we’ve even started some fruit! 🍇
What’s better than that? After the snow had melted and Momma checked our Wildflower Planter from last year, she found some new sprouts! 🌱
So we will be adding the leftover floral seeds from our germination station into our Wildflower Planter to assist the growth. 🌸

Donations to Acey’s Garden are accepted in person at his Flower Stand while open and we may start a donation page for Acey’s Greenhouse setup, or maybe a simple wish list this year.

Germination Station -
🍅 So far we have 3 types of tomatoes growing rapidly! Super Beefsteak, Beefsteak, and Cherry Tomatoes!

🌶️ Red & Green Jalapeños have sprouted strong, along with some windowsill chilis that broke the soil!

🌱 We have lemonbalm sprouting here and there along with a single Sage sprout!

🌿 Currently there are 2 banana peppers growing on seperate plants, 2 of the others have been pruned to encourage flower and fruit.

🍞 Last but not least! Mom started the sourdough journey! Get ready to have the best gut healthy baked goods ever! Say hello to Bready Mercury!

Herb Planter check ✅🌿

Basil has been attracting some new friends… and along with my Mom - couldn’t wait to turn it into a snack! We have a Basil Attack! 🍃

Someone has been chewing on my Basil leaves!
I thought I would have to swat Mom off of them, but I have noticed all she does is smell them and whisper to them… weirdo… 😂
Maybe she’s telling the caterpillar to hurry up and eat as fast as it can like she does me - with a sweet treat given to me at the wrong time 👀

I am watching you! Stay off of my hard working leaves! They’re still growing, and soon enough another row of Basil will be just as tall as our first bunch! Do you see the baby Basil!? 🌿

Mom got to these just in time! 🌧️
Sometimes we have to bring our Snapdragons and my Wildflower planter inside if the rain gets too heavy, so I don’t overwater my crop and accidentally kill it. 🥺

My Wildflowers are going strong! 💪
My Snapdragons are taking forever, but each day they are growing big and strong as well as me!

Mom will show me how to make little bouquets during arts and crafts with my wildflowers once they finally take off! We will start flower and herb identification very shortly! 🌿🌸

ORANGE JUICE VASE 🍊 😃
Today my Mom set up my first ever hummingbird feeder… and then also got to learn that ants are attracted to sugar and nectar… no matter where it’s placed… and then remembered that ants can also bite the tongues of hummingbirds and severely hurt them or make them unable to eat again!!! 🥺

Planning out the nectar jar placement will take a moment, but as soon as it is properly set up, we will post our new hummingbird feeder! 🪺

Although Mom already bought me gardening gloves, Daddy DJ realized that Mommy didn’t have a pair of her own, and even though he got them specifically for gardening - she thought they were too pretty to put on and ended up with dirty hands again, silly Mommy 😂

Our starting pods are great for germinating and planting directly into the soil! If you have a cardboard egg carton you won the germination pod lottery!!! Root systems will grow straight through the carton and it’s the best way to recycle! ♻️

More seeds?!?!? My Mom is a “rebel planter” and she will try to plant anything and everything! So today we are drying grape seeds, packaging them and then studying the best ways to grow grapes at home! 🍇

Mommy has another surprise for me… but we won’t have it for another week or so… stay tuned to see what it is!

My DeeDee brought me 2 new seed binders STUFFED to the brim with seeds and some seed packets I can fill and label myself! 💕

Mom has already filled a packet with green bell pepper seeds she harvested yesterday, along with 10 packets of wild mullein seeds she processed a couple months ago from the wild! Our seed collection is growing!🫑

Did I say Mom only started Red & Green Jalapeños?
Well… I fibbed because we started Lemon Balm and super Beefsteak Tomatoes as well!!! 🍅
The Jalapeño seeds brought from the store only lasted 5 hours before they ended up in starting pots Daddy DJ got us! Lets check those out in my next post and below in my photos 🌶️

Daddy DJ’s Banana Peppers from today are very strong! We have a couple of peppers starting, pictured below is the biggest pepper we have so far, and a great photo of how the flower dies into a pepper!

We started Daddy DJ’s windowsill Chiles last night along with Red Hot & Green Mild Jalapeño Peppers (because Mom accidentally got the seed packets wet after bringing them home… or so she says it was an “accident”…)

While Mom was at the store with Daddy DJ - he snuck some surprises into the cart for me and her!! Let’s check out what she brought home… 🏠
