Don't break your back if you don't have to. I bought this simple hand winch; It only took two bolts to attach it. No wiring or anything complicated. Worked like a charm.

I seriously dread seeing these grasses when I pull up to a lawn. I want to kill it all and start completely over.

Had to get a new push mower. I found this one at Sam's Club, $100 off. It brought the total before taxes to $299. It's not a commercial mower, so my expectations are minimal. It unfortunately doesn't have variable speed - pull the lever back and it's full speed ahead.
I do like that it isn't too heavy, you only have to pull one lever to adjust all four wheels, has side discharge, mulching, and bagger. And it seems to have a nice clean cut. Tomorrow it will be put to the full test. I'll let you know how it does!
