We’re going to be a vendor at this event tomorrow!! Saturday Oct 24!
This Saturday, October 24th in North Carolina, the Lexington Barbecue Festival brings one of the biggest barbecue celebrations in the country to the streets of Uptown Lexington! This famous fall tradition dates back to 1984, when the first festival was held to celebrate the town’s long history of making some of North Carolina’s best barbecue. From 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Main Street and surrounding streets will be filled with food, music, shopping, and entertainment for the whole family. Beginning at 10 a.m., barbecue tents will serve Lexington’s famous chopped pork shoulder, slowly cooked over hickory wood and served with a tangy vinegar-and-tomato sauce known locally as “dip.” You can enjoy barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, and plenty of other festival favorites while exploring more than 250 vendors offering handmade crafts, artwork, and all kinds of goodies. Six entertainment stages will feature live performances, with street entertainers throughout the festival. You can also see a massive 50-ton pig-themed sand sculpture, classic car displays, exciting dog and bicycle stunt shows, and a special children’s area with games and inflatables. The entire celebration is free to attend and takes place rain or shine!
