The A/C was running, but the house still wasn’t cooling.

Today’s call in Lake Arthur turned out to be a failed blower motor. The outdoor unit was running, but without airflow inside the home, comfort goes out the window.

Four days without A/C in Louisiana heat is a long time.

This homeowner in Oberlin had been waiting on another company that never showed up. After giving Southern Chill a call, we were there within the hour.

Our technician found the issue, replaced a failed contactor in the outdoor unit and a failed transformer in the air handler, and had the system cooling again in about an hour.

This homeowner was told they needed to replace the entire HVAC system.

They called Southern Chill A/C & Heating for a second opinion before making a major decision.

Our team found the actual issue was a failed expansion valve. We repaired the system, pressure tested it, pulled a vacuum, recharged the unit, and got the system back operating properly without replacing equipment that still had life left in it.

Not every AC problem means you need a whole new system. Sometimes you just need the right diagnosis.
