First cutting of the season didn't go as planned!

This is our first season with all of our own equipment. Tractor, disc bine, rake and bailer were all ready to go.

The last 2 days have gone so well! Today, Jus raked the hay in piles and started bailing..... until the belts on the bailer started coming apart. Just like that the day was done. The rain has rolled in.

Being a farmer is beautiful, messy, hard, rewarding and devastating.
