This home is a perfect example of why we talk so much about prep.

The wood trim, fascia, soffits, window trim, gutters, back door area, and other exterior wood surfaces had peeling paint, weather damage, failing caulk, and areas of deteriorated wood that needed attention before a brush ever touched the house.

Repaired damaged wood where needed
Scraped and removed failing paint
Sanded rough and peeling areas
Re-caulked gaps and seams
Primed repaired surfaces
Painted all gutters, fascia, soffits, window trim, and exterior wood surfaces

Most people would look at this attic and see a dark, unfinished storage space.

We saw opportunity.

Today we officially started transforming this unused attic into a brand-new living area complete with a playroom and future bathroom. Projects like this don't start with paint and drywall—they start with proper planning, layout, framing, and making sure every detail is built correctly from the ground up.

At Leos Quality Construction, we believe the work behind the walls is what truly matters. Anyone can make something look good when it's finished, but quality is built during the framing stage. Most people only see the finished floor. We see everything that happens before it.

At Leos Quality Construction, we believe preparation is the most important part of any flooring project. While many installers focus on getting in and getting out, we focus on making sure the foundation is ready for a floor that's built to last.

These floors had already been removed before we arrived, but that didn't mean we could skip the prep work. Every room was thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and prepared before the first plank was ever installed. Proper layout, proper planning, and attention to detail are what separate a professional installation from an average one.

The result? Clean lines, smooth transitions, beautiful flooring, and a finished product our customer can be proud of for years to come.

We wrapped up replacing the damaged and worn deck boards on this deck while saving as much of the existing structure as possible. Not every project needs a complete tear-out. Sometimes the best option is identifying what is still solid, replacing what has failed, and giving the customer a safe, refreshed deck without unnecessary costs.

The new boards are installed and looking great. Next up will be cleaning and staining once everything has had time to dry properly. Taking the time to let the wood dry before staining helps ensure a better finish and longer-lasting results.

We appreciate the opportunity to help bring this deck back to life and are looking forward to sharing the finished stained project soon.

One of my other passions in life isn't just providing Northwest Arkansas with the best amazing deals and tremendous customer service. It is my family and the game of baseball. Tonight our son Luis, through absolute lightning and struck everybody out that he faced within a blink of an eye. I just had a brag on him a little bit. We are some proud parents.

One thing I always encourage homeowners to ask about when getting estimates is the preparation process.

No matter what type of project you're hiring for—painting, staining, flooring, drywall, tile, or remodeling—the prep work is what truly determines the quality of the finished product.

A fresh coat of paint can look great on day one, but if the surfaces weren't cleaned, repaired, sanded, or prepared correctly, problems can start showing up much sooner than expected.

The same goes for flooring, tile, staining, and just about every other trade. The final result is only as good as the preparation underneath it.

When you're comparing contractors, don't be afraid to ask questions about what prep steps they plan to take and why. A good contractor should be able to explain their process and help you understand what you're paying for.

Another flooring project wrapped up and we're really happy with how this one turned out! The homeowner chose some large-format marble-look tile, and it completely transformed the space. We removed the existing flooring, completed all the prep work, and installed the new tile throughout the home, including the bathrooms. The larger tile gives everything a clean, modern look and really opens up the rooms.

The prep work is what makes a floor last, and we take pride in doing things the right way from start to finish. Thank you to our customer for trusting us with their home!
