Vancouveria hexandra, commonly known as Inside-Out Flower, is a delicate semi-evergreen native plant that thrives on the forest floors of the Pacific Northwest, tolerating part sun and shade. The individual leaflets look like the foot of a duck, featuring three shallow rounded lobes. This plant makes a great ground cover in woodland settings and is excellent at w**d suppression. We have this unique plant Ferny’s, ready to get out of our pots and into your soil!

Goatsbeard is a shade loving showstopper often found in moist woods, meadows, and along streams. What looks like a single fluffy white flower is actually a cluster of thousands of tiny star shaped nectar rich blooms. It is a critical host plant for Dusky Azure butterfly larvae and a magnet for native bees.

Classes at Ferny’s!
In just one month on Saturday, June 13th, we will be hosting our first class, “Introduction to Native Plants”, instructed by Edward Johnson. You’ll learn all about ecotypes, provenance, and cultivars, as well as native plant alternatives for popular non-native plants, including hedging and street trees. Edward will also go over his favorite plant species for supporting wildlife, growing food, and garden performance.
