Apple picking time is here. Here is a great bean pot recipe for Yummy Applesauce.
8 Apples (2 of 4 different varieties)
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon..
Peel, cut and core apples. Put into Bean Pot. Add remaining ingredients. Cover with foil or Bean Pot cover and bake at 250° overnight (or approx 8-9 hours). Serve over pancakes (use the juice for liquid in pancakes), serve over ice cream, serve as a side dish.

1. You can use it as an ice bucket. Freeze it (with the lid off) and it’s ready for a great ice bucket for your party and does not sweat on your table.

2. Chill your bean pot so that when you are going to a picnic/party,
you can transport your cold salad without having to use a cooler.
Be sure to have a bean pot basket so that you look “cute” when carrying it!

3. When taking a hot dish such as baked beans, to the picnic/party, your bean pot stays hot for 3 to 4 hours! Again, be sure to have a bean pot basket for transporting (no pot holders needed).

4. You will have the best looking dish at the picnic/party!

5. It makes it so easy to have dinner ready when you have been at the pool
with the kids all afternoon.


Ice Cream Dessert
Layer ice cream sandwiches in your bean pot, cover with cool whip and crushed cookies or candy. Continue layering and end with crushed cookies or candy for a topping. Freeze for 4 hours or overnight. Spoon out an awesome ice cream cake.
Examples – Cookies ‘n Cream ice cream sandwiches with crushed Oreo cookies
Peanut Butter ice cream sandwiches with Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. You can even add chocolate syrup and cherries!

Microwave Bean Pot Cake
Mix together box of yellow cake mix, 2 eggs, 1/3 cup oil, 1/3 cup water and 8 oz. sour cream with a mixer. Fold in a can of pie filling. Pour into bean pot and microwave for 13 minutes with the lid off. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with cool whip or ice cream.
Peach, strawberry and apple pie fillings are delicious!

Microwave Rotisserie Chicken
Wash whole chicken and place in bean pot. Top with a couple of pats of butter and sprinkle
with salt and pepper. Microwave for 10 minutes per pound. (3 pound chicken will need 30 minutes with the lid off). Amazing……..gorgeous browned rotisserie chicken!

Everyone needs at least two bean pots in the summer!
