Ugh!! Yet another FREEZE WARNING! No matter what weather forecast you look at (I have 3 examples above from AccuWeather, Weather Underground & MSN), Saturday night is expected to dip into the very low 30's, so drag out that frost cloth again and protect those annuals, veggies and any perennials that are not yet properly hardened off! 😕 Sorry folks, it's the price we pay for living in such a beautiful area! 🌺😉

PLANT IF THE WEEK:
Briggs Moonlight Daphne!
Highly scented pink early summer blooms top a 3 ft tall and wide, vase shaped shrub. The creamy yellow leaves with green margins make Moonlight Briggs a show stopper even when it isn’t in bloom. Daphne are deer resistant and prefer sun to part shade. They are easy to maintain and need no pruning except for any winter dieback.
Our Daphne have a well established root system. We have them right now for $70. Don’t wait though, they fly out quickly!

We will be reprising our FREE Cutting Garden class Thursday night (6/4) at 5:30pm! It looks like the weather will be much more accommodating than it was at our last class which we held in the barn during a major thunder and hailstorm (see photo #2 with poor Carol having to shout over the hail on the barn's metal roofing)! 🙄😲 We plan for this class reprisal to be nothing but peaceful, lovely and informative! 😉😊🌺

La Diva Spirit White Lavender!
Like any lavender, La Diva is a pollinator magnet, drought tolerant and deer resistant. However, unlike other lavender, it is WHITE! It is highly fragrant, will bloom reliably for many weeks; and is easy to care for. It will grow about 20” tall and wide, and is a zone 4 - that’s -30*!!
Stop by and get a look at this unique and beautiful plant that is just about to burst into full bloom!

Tonight, Saturday and Sunday night have a good chance of dipping into the freeze zone! 😡
Protect your annuals and any perennials that are not yet hardened off! Hopefully this will be the last warning… but it is Central Oregon, so I’m not going to hold my breath. 🙄

We did have a few brave souls that can to last night’s class despite the thunder and hail, but it was certainly NOT an optimal learning environment! 😅
