This is the part nobody sees.

We’re screeding out our crushed stone base on top of an already compacted foundation, which we’ve added slope to, so that all water runs away from the house.

Using angular stone creates a stable base that compacts tight while still letting water drain through it. That means less standing water, less movement, and fewer problems down the road!
